Quality for almost 140 years.
The history of our family company begins on October 22, 1889. This was the date on which the Graz City Council granted us the right to construct a foundry. 20 years later, in 1909, engineer Johann Zirl bought the company outright.
The business survived the adversities and problems of two world wars. The original capacity was expanded on an ongoing basis with the construction of further production equipment. This was followed by years of continuous further development.
At the beginning of the 1970’s, in addition to our foundry activities, we founded a company for stockholding steel trading – initially with significant success. The oil and steel crises of the 1970’s and 1980’s demanded that we concentrate on trading in processed steel products. Sheet metal processing, forged parts and special profiles have been the focus of our activities ever since.
Since our reorganisation in 1984, we have become an internationally active supplier specialising exclusively in the procurement of drawing-specific, high-quality technical parts from the initial processing stages.
